Although I build each instrument the same way, and each mandolin sounds great and looks good, they all sound different. If they didn't sound good I wouldn't sell them.
I never use any kits.
I use the best wood available and good hardware. These mandolins are made in Smyrna, in the heart of Tennessee.
Arnold Cross
Looking for a mandolin?
I handcraft all Cross mandolins.
I use the best wood I can buy to build my mandolins:
curly maple back sides and neck,
Sitka or German red spruce front, tone bars and kerfing,
mahogany blocking/bracing inside,
walnut or ebony peghead overlay veneer.
I carve and shape all wood parts.
Other materials:
ebony bridge,
bone nut,
three ply ivroid binding,
Grover tuners
G.H.S. median strings,
ebony fingerboard,
mother of pearl inlay (cut by me).
Arn’s Woodworking since 1999
I think you will like the sound and look of the Cross Mandolin.
